I create, develop and executed innovation workshops that combines Design Thinking + Science Fiction. They help teams create a shared vision and retroacts back to today, to determine the next immediate steps to get there.
Multi-stakeholder SCiFI DI program for NASA’s Radiation Workshop. The outcomes are helping to guide and inform the various research challenges for the NASA Frontier Development Lab (FDL). FDL is an AI research and development accelerator that is run by the SETI Institute that tackles knowledge gaps useful to the space program.
Designed, developed and delivered workshop and methodology to guide participants step-by-step through a data innovation project: from defining a policy research question that can be addressed using new and existing data sources; to identifying the right partnerships; analysing data; and designing visualisations and dashboards to drive decision making. By bringing together representatives from all UN agencies, Data Innovation Lab workshops provide participants with an opportunity to identify and discuss cross-cutting challenges, share experiences and learn from each other. One of the many outcomes that emerged from a series of workshops include the UNDP and IBM Research collaboration on an experiment to test the application of AI to our Rapid Integrated Assessment tool (RIA) for SDG implementation emerged from the Data Innovation Lab.
The OSHbot is an example of the work we developed at SU Labs. It is both an experiment and provocation to understand how robotics will work in society. At SU Labs, the Lowe's team partnered with the start-up, Fellow Robots to put a working unit in store in less than 4 months.
During a multi-day workshop, we invited experts in medicine, bio-informatics, AR/VR, AI, digital health, biomimicry and other fields to inspire a shared vision of the Future of Home. Collaborators included innovators from Bayer, Procter & Gamble, Caterpillar, BD (Becton Dickinson), Lowes, Miele, Ashoka, the Biomimicry Institute, The Mars Society, Comic book writers, illustrators, designers and more.
